Nice place. Good service. Beer is just okay, but the hamburgers are great. Their other meals are good too. The Scottish ale they have, Bob I think, is the best one. Can't have too many or you'll need a cab.

The bartender was really great and let us sample most of the beers and gave recommendations. The atmosphere was exactly what we needed after a long day driving. I was disappointed in the beer. I wasn't expecting the best but when they pour it from the tap like they pour soda and the beer is about as watery, you know it's not good. The burger was mediocre too.

Bitter Creek Brewing, it's bad. Rock Springs is a culinary wasteland and Bitter Creek ony enforces that fact. I stopped in on my way to Montana for an early dinner. After looking at the beer menu of 8 beers I order a beer, they were out. Ok, so I made another choice, oops, out again. My third choice, ding..ding..ding, we have a winner. Taking a look at the food menu, I decided on the Jalapeño Poppers. Good news they actually had them, bad news they were horrible. Obviously pre-frozan by just look at them, however if there was any doubt one bite confirmed it. Virtually zero flavor and the jalapeños were as tough as shoe leather. As a matter fact shoe leather would probably be more tender. Forget dinner, I paid the bill and left. Service was disinterested at best. Bitter Creek is a bitter pill.

The kitchen sink burger was excellent!!Don't miss this burger while your here. Also the potato bacon soup was a great compliment to the meal. Service was great and atmosphere was spot on. Will be back!

In RS for work. Not a lot of extra time but always looking for breweries. Got to collect those growlers. Had the blackened salmon salad, the grilled steak sandwich, and a beer sample set. The food was quite tasty. The beers.... well we liked some better than others. Took a growler of the porter to go. The service was extremely friendly. The food was excellent. If I ever "have" to be in RS again we will be back.

First off, the service was really great, super nice staff. The beer is good, but the food is clearly an afterthought..... Had the salmon salad.... I think it might have come out of a bag. The salmon was great, the dressing was tasty, but the veggies lacked flavor and imagination. Had Bob - dark beer - great! And the License to Pils - excellent as well! GET YOUR FOOD ACT TOGETHER GUYS, and this place could be great.

We stopped in for lunch on the way to Jackson. First, my husband ordered one of their Scotch ales-- it was flat, winey, tannicy, with a hint of rotten vegetable flavor (so obviously off) and not true to style. Then, my son ordered the club sandwich and the other 3 of us were going to split a large pizza ( and we said we were going to split). When our food came out, she brought out a tiny ( maybe 8" pizza) for the 3 of us. . I can't believe she didn't point out that their pizzas are individual pizzas! We ordered another one. Wish we hadn't. It was like the worst frozen pizza that you could get in the frozen food aisle. They try to overcompensate for the poor quality by pouring on additional (cheddar) cheese. Since I always try and find a redeeming quality....the iced tea was satisfactory.

Worth the stop in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Great American Craft Beer. The atmosphere is casual with a friendly staff.

A hidden gem in the middle of no where. Don't miss out on Bitter Creek Brewery in Rock Springs, Wyoming.

I was in town for my family reunion, and my dad and grandmother wanted a quick dinner out. Dad hates 99% of the restaurants in town, so he brought us here - I wasn't expecting much, but it was a nice lil dinner spot. I didn't try the beers as I was driving, so I can't really speak to how good they are, or if they had them in stock, but it seemed like everyone else was enjoying their brews. I ordered the Hawaiian burger with chicken, and it was pretty generous in terms of size - I wasn't expecting something that big! I'll admit that it was kind of chain restaurant-y, but I can't complain in a town this small. Not bad at all. I like that they offer the option of burgers with veggie, beef, or chicken - it's a nice surprise that I wouldn't have expected. The fries were a little soft for my taste, but they definitely looked hand cut/homemade, which is an awesome touch. Our waitress was really attentive and sweet, so I was pretty happy about this place - I wouldn't mind going back the next time I'm in the neighborhood.

Reviews like this are never easy. I would guess that anybody visiting Wyoming is more than likely to head to places like Yellowstone and such. Anybody, like me, is probably just passing through Rock Springs and that is all. The town is hardly a destination, though there are charming aspects. With that in mind, if you are just passing through somewhere and are dying for a brewery, and in this very remote part of the country breweries will be rare indeed, then Bitter Creek is like an oasis. Drink deep, because the next closest one is either Suds Brothers in Evanston or Altitude in Laramie. Their beer selection is not especially imaginative, nor is it mediocre. In the two trips I've made there they didn't put anything in front of me that I didn't like. They just don't have that one beer which will always make you come back. If anything, you will return because in this part of the country, and Wyoming for that matter, they are the only game in town. But hey, they could exploit that and serve up lousy suds. But they don't. Bitter Creek deserves mention for the wings. A lot of places bill themselves as "hot", but when you order their rendition you will see they don't mess around. Those things are friggen hot! For that alone they earn my respect. And for having some cute waitresses.
(5)Chris K.
If it were possible I'd leave less than 1 star. While the service was OK. That meal WAS 'piss poor'! The French Onion Soup & the Wings were both SOOOOOO saltly it was like eating a salt block. I adore salty food and this was PAST salty. My thought is why? What are they trying to hide; old food? The Wings were also either microwaved or double cooked as they were VERY tough. The quesadilla was made with veggies out of a can and the chicken was cubed from frozen with ZERO flavor. The guacamole was nearly unrecognizable (and was inedible)...sooooo far removed from real food it was pitiful. DO NOT BOTHER TO EAT HERE. The drinks were OK. But, the money wasted on the food was a true pity. One of the worst meals we've had in ages; or ever?!
(1)Maureen L.
Very poor experience tonight. To begin with they were out of two of their beers. The beer we did choose was mediocre. My husband ordered the fish and chips and the fish nuggets were undercooked and gross. The veggie burger was just an charred remnant of a frozen patty. Food was un-impressive. We complained about the fish and manager only gave us half off the dinner and didn't even come over to apologize. We will not be returning.
(1)Andrew M.
Awesome people, service, atmosphere and food. I had the California burger and it was delicious. I wanted to try the bison meat but sadly they have been out of stock and might be out of stock for a while. I tried the mustang pale ale and red desert ale. The mustang pale ale was so good we got a "jug" to go. Happy I checked yelp for somewhere to stop because this place was perfect.
(4)Troy J.
One if the best places to go to in Rock Springs me and my wife didn't know what type of beer we wanted and the wait staff said well what do u normally drink we told her and she brought us a really good beer. The next time we came the food was exelent and the wait staff again recommended the mixed drink to go with the meal it is a great place great mood.

Funny... When searching for this place on Yelp, "Bittercreek Industrial Repair" comes up just above it. Truth is, the industrial place probably would've offered a better dinner. We made the mistake of giving these fools a third chance the other night. (We were downtown and happened to find ourselves right outside, so we regrettably suspended our better judgment. Shame on us!) This place is horrible, and that's the end of it. FLAT OUT HORRIBLE IN EVERY WAY. This was the third and absolutely last time for us at this disgusting, offensive slop-house. FOOD: TERRIBLE. Few offerings are even edible, let alone pleasing. I don't know how, but they find a way to destroy everything - appetizers, sides, soups, entrees - everything is exceptionally bad, period. No kidding - if you think you're "safe" ordering a common fried appetizer or an "idiot-proof" sandwich, you will be proven wrong. I'll say it again... EVERYTHING IS BAD HERE. EVERYTHING. SERVICE: TERRIBLE. The one thing that actually is consistent about Bitter Creek is the epically slow service. We were one of TWO - yes, TWO - tables in there at the time, plus the four local BARnacles bellied-up to the spigets. We waited more than 30 minutes for our single appetizer, which was immediately followed by our salads and entrees about 20 seconds later. Our randomly assigned gimp for the evening offered her obligatory "sorry, guys" before quickly gravitating back to the BARnacles. (Incidentally, we were blessed with the short-haired bleached-blonde waitress on this magical evening, but truth be told, it doesn't matter. All of them are far more concerned with letting the world know that they're way too cool to be waiting tables than to actually, well... wait tables.) CLEANLINESS: OK. Not the best, not the worst. But given the downtime they have, you'd think it should be spotless. IN SUMMARY: I guess I'm really more angry at myself for stepping foot in this fetid hole for a third time. It's just that there are so few choices in Rock Springs that I wish that everyone here would finally WAKE-UP, realize how VERY BAD this place is and starve it out of business so that maybe - just maybe - someone else can get a chance to open something decent in this spot!!! OH, BY THE WAY..... The 4 and 5 star reviews are very likely from friends, family and employees.
(1)Lacy B.
They have the best spinach artichoke dip I've ever had, however they can be really slow about getting your food out. It's good if you can catch them on a night when they aren't too busy.
(3)Blake S.
Wow! That was the worst lunch I've had since grade school. I had the California Cruising burger complete with fake guacamole, stale buns, and patty like a hockey puck. I asked for crispy bacon on the burger: it came out as limp as the soggy fries and the weak- sauce service. Do not bother going to this place for food unless you are trying to get a stomach ache.
(1)Steve N.
Nope. I came here once before, and half their typical beers were unavailable because they needed to "catch up". Tonight, the other half appeared to be unavailable. After having some Sysco jalapeño poppers and a middling stout, I was served a "steak melt" (ie sliced Banquet roast beef sandwich) and an uninspired salad, along with a flat ale that had a faint hoppiness to it. My wife had a pizza that could best be described as "meh". Then the waitress left me my check and told me "no hurry" (I didn't think she was talking about herself). 15 min later she brought me a second check (having forgotten that she already brought one. Applebee's next time in Rock Springs, I guess.

In order to get home I had to go through Rock Springs again. Yuck. I did see that they had a brewery here on my last time through and I was in town when they were open! Nice! Bitter Creek Brewing is also a restaurant but I only wanted beer here so I can't comment on the food at all. I got one of the more popular beers they have on tap from what I was told. I think it was called the Bitter Creek Wheat. Anyway it is the only wheat beer they regularly have on tap so it is easy to find. I enjoyed the beer a lot! I guess it is a brewery thing because the bartender poured salt on my napkin and then put my beer on it. Without getting into suggestion of influence my wheat beer had a nice salty tingle to it. Not too much, just right. At any rate the wheat beer was very good and if I ever find my way to Rock Springs by car again I will make sure I go here because the beer was very good and the wait staff fun! I'd like to try a meal here!
(4)Teresa C.
Ok people. There just isn't much here! So, being optimistic and fair, we were willing to give this place another chance. Shame on us! It was as terrible as I remember. Enjoyed my pale ale. There is your one star. YOU HAVE ALL BEEN WARNED. Don't waste your time and money.
(1)Travis B.
Being out of 1/3 of the beers you brew is probably not a Grade-A concept for a business with "Brewing" in the title. Of course, if I take the name literally they are compliant as they probably were brewing the libations that were not available on tap. The food was forgettable and didn't leave a great impression. The cajun pork chops lacked a definitive cajun flavor and were bathed in (what tasted like) a mix of Frank's hot sauce and bbq sauce. The chile pepper and piece of cheese on top confused my oh-so-sensitive taste buds. I want to give this place another shot. One, because there just isn't enough good restaurants in the Rock Springs area and two, I think they are capable of greater good than this.
(2)Verba E.
Friendly service-fresh crispy salads-cold flavorful beers! Would recommend highly for the visitor and congratulate the locals!

"Go stick your finger down your throat and throw that burger up NOW!!!" When your dinner date- who happens to be a Chef- instructs you to do so at a restaurant, the food is really Really REALLY bad... When we eat out, we always make a point of eating at local, independent establishments. We are not "foodies" who are above the diviest bar, or greasiest spoon. Passing through Rock Springs, I was excited to try a local brewery, but grossly disappointed with the food. The calamari was totally flavorless. My BF tried to order a med done burger, but was told they couldn't do that. Ironic as mine came out practically raw- something I should've noticed sooner, but the soup that proceeded it tasted like dirt loaded with spice. The waitress was an absolute doll, so no fault on her. The manager did remove my- and only my- inedible order, but that did little to appease another three hours on the road- still hungry and hoping we don't wind up sick tonight.

Incredible Burgers and fast service.

This is the MUST-visit place in Rock Springs (according not only to me, but to the very friendly locals at the bar). I went on Mother's day and it was rocking busy, but I found room at the bar. The Beers were very good - the light ale was slightly under-carbonated for my taste, but it might have been the keg... the IPA was a WINNER. Tomato basil soup was wicked flavorful - as was the veggie burger. Speaking of which it was SO damn refreshing as a veggie eater to see 'substitute veggie burger pattie for any of the burgers below'. GREAT idea people :) The FRIES were ridiculously good. Homemade, crispy fresh tastiness. Service was amazingly friendly but also really good and fast. This place? GO.
(5)Kelly M.
Perfect spot to stop through on our drive from Denver to Salt Lake. Delicious burgers. A completely unexpected, but great, surprise to find this little spot. Mustang Pale Ale was really good and we got the Cajun and jalepeno burgers, both were awesome. Definitely stop in here.
(4)Steven N.
WOW! what a huge, huge disappointment all ALL levels. Walking up to the place it looked pretty neat and is in a great part of town. However, upon walking in the hostess was not thrilled to see the pair of us and begrudgingly seated us. The waitress was peppy but ignorant on the beers. I think someone at a "brewery" should know something about beers, right? We ordered a stout and wheat. both were so-so. They reminded me of a chain brewery like BJ's or Rock Bottom where everything tastes a bit, generic... The burgers were once again so-so. I was never asked how I wanted my burger cooked and of course came out very well done. When I asked for onion rings instead of fried the waitress stated that it would be "um about $3 extra". I understand an upcharge for something like that but to just randomly throw out a price is not acceptable. In case you were wondering, it was a $1 upcharge. If you're thinking of trying this, don't bother. You'd be better off going to the liquor store and hitting Carl's Jr.
(1)Laura M.
This is great food and excellent service. I would come back and bring all my friends!!!
(5)Danny B.
Atmosphere was the one thing that was good and the Wee Bastard beer. Service was fair as well as the over priced food.
(1)John R.
This place is definitely clean and pleasant inside with okay service. The beer was disappointing. I have never tried beer in Wyoming, so I'm not sure what the standard is. However, I tried the malty pale ale and is was not bitter, hardly any hops, almost no carbonation, and I'm not sure if there was any alcohol in it. I tried the Red Desert next and that certainly had more carbonation and maybe a little more alcohol content. They charge $4.50 for a pint, which seems to be normal for craft beers on draft. However, I would have to say that for the quality the beer is overpriced. I agree that they have a lot of interesting combinations when it comes to burgers. I tried the All Choked Up because I wanted a burger and I love Spinach Artichoke Dip. Sure enough, they mastered the combination! It was a very good sandwich. I requested the fries to be extra crispy and they mastered that as well. Overall, the beer was okay, the food was good, and the bartenders were friendly.
(3)Lauren L.
The atmosphere was very cozy. The staff is very friendly and went above and beyond to take care of us. The beer was delicious! There was a nice variety on the menu and the food was pretty good. I recommend giving Bitter Creek Brewery a try!
(4)Mitchell K.
Here's the thing. The beer is good, but the service isn't. I wanted a pizza, just a standard thin crust, but was told they didn't have thin crust only the "brew crust." So I said fine. Then I find out I was charged $1 more for the brew crust. WTF. I asked the waitress about it and her response was " well you ate it, right." On top of this, I had to ask her to bring me silverware.
(2)Emily T.
My mom and I were just stopping through on a road trip to Washington when we stopped by the brewery. Not only was the beer great, the service was excellent (Libbey) and the food was amazing! We got the classic burger and the Gorgonzola chicken salad. So delicious, glad we were able to stop by.
(5)Scott C.
Solid Brewery and decent food. Was one of the first 11 breweries we hit on our 18 day road trip. Beers were solid, not great. Beer Named Bob was my favorite. Ambiance was good and our service was friendly. Bar area looked nice - bonus points for having a Great Basin pint glass on display. Sadly they did not have their own merchandise to sell. If in Rock Springs, would come here again because it's a brewery, but don't have super high expectations.
(3)Jennifer C.
Good service, good beer, good food! A solid bet while in Rock Springs.
(4)Sissie P.
What a terrific find! Still on the road, and late off again. There was a card with ad and map to get there (truly needed this!) at motel check-in. Easy decision to go when it's already 8:30pm and starving. I don't drink beer, but the full bar was sufficient and generous. Hubby said their brew was pretty darn good. I had the salmon salad and it was wonderful. Generous very fresh ingredients, topped with a just right sized salmon filet cooked perfectly. Moist, tasty, done. Really hit the spot. Hubby had gorgonzola chicken pasta. His plate was quietly devoured. We shared an order of calamari -- not the best I've ever had, but pretty good for inland and no rubber bands. Would have liked a spicier sauce. Another one we'll be backed to, and since we vacation often in Wyoming, we will be back.
(4)A. B.
Terrific service, good brews and a freakin' yummy Pot Roast sandwich. I'm not a reuben fan but apparently the one inhaled at our table was 'the best EVER!'. Fresh cut fries, perfectly cooked for my tastes. Bits of skin, bit squishy, browned just enough. They were even better mixed up in my extra sandwich gravy. I'm just sad I live so far away.
(5)Beanie K.
Stopped by here one night for dinner. Waiter was friendly. Clean interiors and restrooms. Tons of burger choices (and they offer veggie patties!). Good beer. My stomach was full.
(3)Keith H.
As a newcomer to Rock Springs, I'm still in the mode of searching out the good deals and great places to go. I had heard that BCB is a good place here and decided to check it out. Two visits later, I can state that I have enjoyed both visits. I like the beer (esp. the samplers which are darn inexpensive) and the food... blackened salmon and the gourmet burgers scored big. Service was great... I think Terrianne was the last servers name and she was very friendly. I will be going back.
(4)Kate C.
In the middle of Rock Springs, WY there just aren't a lot of eating options. I kept telling myself that when we were recommended by several locals that this was the best place in town. Ah... poor Rock Springs. For appetizers, we ordered the Thai Chicken Nachos and Artichoke Dip. The nachos are okay... same with the Artichoke Dip. Both were missing just a little extra flavor. For dinner, I ordered the Cajun Pork Chops with a side salad. The Pork Chops completely through me off. They come with huge peppers on top and a tomato spicy sauce. I'm not sure that the flavor combination was a good choice. I ended up just eating my side salad (and if you know me, you know that I'm not even a huge fan of salads.) My coworkers informed me that their steaks weren't all that great either. One of them ordered the Jalapeno Burger and was in physical pain eating it. According to him, the jalapenos were some of the hottest he has ever had. After a round of daring each other to try them, my other coworkers agreed that they were in fact the hottest jalapenos in existence. I'm not sure any meal is worth that many tears from grown men. The beer is decent. I tried the Summer Wheat and it was pretty satisfying.
(2)Shane W.
The Pale Ale is malty and good. The mushroom Swiss burger and fries are decent.
(3)Chuck S.
Burgers ok. Pretty standard quality but some interesting combinations. Beer good but not distinguished. Service mediocre.
(3)N M.
Quick stop in town for food, we were excited to find a microbrew restaurant for lunch. The tasting tray of beers was pretty good, and priced right at $4. Some of the beers are really good, I liked the "Bob" and Scotch Ale especially. We had the artichoke dip, which came with a mix of stale and soft baguette bread mini slices. The dip was basically sour cream, with artichoke mixed in, then melted mozzarella cheese on top. This wasn't really good or palatble, but we were starving and got it down. My wife and I both had Caesar salads, mine with blackened chicken. I asked the server if the chicken was made in house, and she said it was. When the salad came, it was pretty clear to me the chicken was from a food-service company. It was cold, not especially fresh and had no flavor. The service was pretty bad, not friendly and slow, considering there were at least two servers working and only a few tables full. I had 24-48 hours of upset stomach/food poisoning after this meal. I have an iron stomach in general, and rarely get sick from any food. I don't know if it was my reaction to the artichoke dip, or if it was the chicken. It is more likely the chicken because it is the only thing my wife didn't have, and her stomach is much more sensitive than mine. In general, the beer is great but you might do well to stay away from the food.
(1)david b.
The brewery has a pretty cool vibe and decor. I love the bike hanging at the entrance. I had a steak that was smothered in a sort of gravy, kinda weird. I would not have it again. The burgers looked good, and my Friends were all sweating balls from the crazy hot jalapenos. This was not my favorite place.
(3)Ethan S.
Great service and incredible beer! I added peach to mine! The food was very good...my wife and I stuck to the burgers. What a great place and was so nice to relax after a long day on the road! We'll see you guys soon!
(5)Jon N.
Is meh a review? I'm in Rock Springs all the time for work and seem to keep coming back to this place. The beers are better than macro stuff, but not really as interesting as something you would find at a normal small micro. Not bad, but not really special either. The food works, its all good, but none if its great or unique. Rock springs is pretty lacking for good food and this is one of the best in town. If it were in more of a foody area this is a 2 star place. For rock springs its a 5 star. Don't expect to have your mind blown, but if you're in town its a pretty good option.
(3)Bianca O.
Had several good meals here. Don't have any chicken dishes, that was the only bad dish I had (a chicken sandwich)..& I spotted a review here stating a similar issue. Love the sesame fried calimari. Servers are friendly. Ambiance is nice, I felt very comfy in the place. Cozy.
(5)Ang H.
I make my family eat here every time I return to my hometown for a visit. The food is good. The beer is to die for.
(4)Jack K.
We didn't try the food but the beer was very good. I would normally give this place 4 stars but I gave it 5 stars to offset some of the bad reviews based on the food. This is a brew pub and the quality of the beer is what should count.
(5)Josh T.
Ordered two rib eye steaks. The cut was very thin and the steaks were dry. It reminded us of institutional quality meat and something you'd see in a nursing home. Will never return consequently. Waitress and manager were friendly and did offer reasonable offer to take back steaks to order something else or take one of the steaks off the bill. But $17.99 for such poor quality steaks does speak to the management and quality of this restaurant. Two thumbs way down.
(1)Todd H.
Food is marginal, beer decent. Your experience will be better if you stick to the beer.
(2)John C.
Very professional brews! Good food that was very fresh. The service was friendly, knowledgeable, and fast but we were two of five diners. The interior has a cool psudo- industrial vibe because brew tanks are in the middle of the dining room and the pipes run across the rafters. Bar with taps (obviously). Don't listen to the naysayers on this place, check it out for your self! must be 21+
(4)Kevin B.
This place has great potential, especially since there isn't much to Rock Springs. The burgers were fair, and the service was painfully slow. The beer was excellent, though. They definitely have a good product to build on.
(2)Kirsten J.
We stopped here on our way through on a road trip. I really enjoyed the beer, and the food was pretty good too. I'm not usually much of an IPA gal, but theirs was tasty! I tried their sampler (I recommend this-it's a good way to test out what they've got, and see what you like), and I also liked their stout.
(4)
